How can I upgrade from the previous version of 2.X to the new 3.1 Version of Web+Center?

Answer: There is a full set of Upgrade instructions in the Web+Center 3.1 Install Guide in Appendix C. This install guide is also included in the new product documentation or available from the main support page documentation link.

Can I add custom fields for the customer record?

Answer: Yes.. on the customer information forms, one can add up to 10 custom text field entries as well as creating a customer notes running log database record. To add these custom field labels, click on the Administration button in the Business+Center application. You must have "configurator" level security access to access this button feature.

These new additional fields are then available for editing and reviewing in both the Tech+Center and Business+Center suites.

Can I add custom fields for assets?

Answer: Yes.. The new asset management component has 5 custom fields with up to 50 characters in each field. Refer to the instructions in the assetsinfo.asp module for more information on how to create custom asset fields.

I want to record all of our company's IP addresses and be able to sort by assets by IP address. Can I do this?

Answer: Yes.. The new asset management component search engine allows for asset searches with sorting by IP address, customer, equipment type, and many other options. Using the asset component, one can keep a current, searchable list of your computers, their location, IP address, port numbers as well as computer ownership, purchasing, and much more.

What is the difference between Web+Center Version 3.0 and Version 3.1?

Answer: Version 3.1 differs from Version 3.0 by offering a re-built asset management component that is compatible with the previous asset database but offers new functionality for assets.
