Web+Center Version 6.0 Beta Test Program coming soon
|
Overview
The Web+Center Version 6.0 beta program should be started within about 2 months and it will
be available for existing and new customers to help perform some beta testing
of the new version. We typically have a 2-3 month beta test period before we
launch the production version and offer upgrade options for existing customers.
Version 6.0 of Web+Center offers new functionality such as integrated Text chat options,
new case
scheduling and integrated outlook calendaring functions and more company "centric" changes.
The Reservation+Center will now be packaged with version 6.0 as part of the system
which expand the Web+Center suite of applications from the current 4 applications (Tech+Center,
Customer+Center, Pocket+Center and Business+Center) to 5 when it includes the
Reservation+Center.
Version 6.0 is designed to be completely database compatible with Version 5.0 installations
so that an easy migration will be possible when you are ready to upgrade.

Overview
Internet Software Sciences uses the Web+Center and the Web+Center FAQ mechanism for supporting
its own software and the product users. This simple but effective approach to customer support
is probably our most efficient way to provide timely solutions to common
problems experienced by users. This method of self help allows customers immediately
problem solutions and resolutions often without the expensive options of phone or trouble ticket support.
Our
FAQ site has grown to a list of 151 knowledge base articles that are specific to the Web+Center suite of
products and offer users a quick way to scan and find articles to some common issues. The articles
have been prioritize based on how current the issue and how frequently it is
being ask in our formal support staff calls. Increasingly,
many of the Web+Center issues that we are solving in support are not problems that require
changes in Web+Center code, but instead, solving problems caused by other un-related security related
products
that are disabling or blocking web server operations, email operations
or database accesses. As new virus checking software, operating system lockdown and
enhanced security features, new databases, operating systems and flavors of operating systems
such as 64 bit 2003 server become available, we need to provide timely solutions to customers and our FAQ
page is the method to quickly post new resolution articles and links to updates.
Some of the more recent FAQ articles include:
Please review the FAQ articles first if you are experiencing an installation or configuration
issue or other Web+Center operational issue and hopefully your organization can also benefit from
using the FAQ feature as well. FAQ articles can be marked for posting by clicking on the
Edit FAQ List link in the middle of the reports page in the Tech+Center.
